We are so sorry to hear of Ed's passing. Our son, Scott was Ed and Gail's neighbor for a while and he couldn't have had a better neighbor. I will always have good memories of Ed, no matter when you spoke to him he always had time to listen, and if you needed anything he was always willing to help. Can't begin to comprehend the loss of one amazing individual who made the Elks the premier banquet hall and reception place for decades.
Having chaired the Sidney Alumni Sports Hall of Fame, I speak for the committee when I say we felt the Elks was our home. And after a few tough years we went to the Legion (which was great as well). Eddy would quietly ask when we were coming back and he made it his mission to have us back.
Oct 1 was our most recent event and sure enough, he was still there while we set up well past our allotted time. "No problem" he'd say. We love that you're here.
That was Eddy O. RIP sir. You will be missed.
