I met Julia at a Bainbridge-Guilford Alumni Association meeting in 1999, and both of us were active members of the association until shortly before Julia moved to Hampshire House. I will always remember her for her dedication to the organization and to the students in the school. Anyone who uses the handrails on the steps leading to the front door of the school can thank Julia for her persistence in getting them installed. She fought hard for those handrails that she needed for so long! She was a lady whom I very much admired. May she rest in peace.
