John R. Kabot, Jr.

John R. Kabot, Jr., 77 of Sidney, and a resident at the New York State Veterans Home of Oxford, passed away on Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at the New York State Veterans Home. John was born on May 6, 1932, son of the late John R. Kabot, Sr. and Bonnia (Flemming) Kabot in Johnson City, NY. John served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. John was employed by Keith Clark Corp. as a security guard. He was a past member of the American Legion Post 80 in Binghamton. He also attended Sidney Senior Meals.
John is survived by:

In addition to his parents, John was predeceased by his long time companion of 20 years, Marion Whitney.
Friends are invited to call on Thursday, January 14, 2010 from 1-2:00pm at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel 21 Main St. Sidney, NY 13838. A funeral service with military honors will follow at 2:00pm at the funeral chapel with Rev. Barbara Green, pastor of the United Methodist Church of Sidney, officiating. Burial will be private in Le Roy Cemetery, Le Roy, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in John's name may be directed to the United Methodist Church of Sidney, 12 Liberty Street Sidney, NY 13838.
