Edward H. Powers
Mt. Upton—Edward H. Powers, 76, passed away on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown.
Ed was born on November 27, 1939 in White, Store, NY, son of Horatio and Audrey (Law) Powers. He was predeceased by his parents; three brothers: Glenn, Raymond and Donald; one sister, Shirley Baker; and his daughter, Donna Lynn Powers.
He is survived by his siblings: brother, Jim Powers; two sisters, Barbara Vanderbunt and Donna Anderson.
He is survived by: his wife, Erna Macumber Boise Powers; daughters: Deborah, Dorie, Diane, Vicki and Tammy; and step-children: Steve Boise, Pamela McCausland, Linda Menendez and Patti Mowers.
He is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to celebrate Ed's life on Sunday, October 23, 2016 from 12:00noon to 4:00pm at the Charles L. Jacobi American Legion Post 183, 22 Union Street, Sidney, NY 13838, where military honors will be rendered. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Sidney Chapter of the American Legion Post 183. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery, White Store will be private and at the convenience of the family.
