I was saddened to hear news of Mr. Van Siclen's passing. Though I am rather late with my submission, that does not minimize the level of admiration the Sidney area had this talented man.
My father started his brief career at Scintilla around the same time. He was in awe of the creativity and professionalism displayed by Howard. And as was true of most, there was a community-minded side as well. A life well-lived.
Sympathies to the families from one family of 4 boys to another. Rest in peace, sir.
