Dear Ann, Allen and Arlen and family,
My parents Dick and Julie Still were close friends of your Mom and Dad when they lived in Afton. For my parent's 50th wedding anniversary they sent pictures from different trips they had taken together. There is a photo of my dad a funny hat in the Amish country, and a photo of our two dads playing pool when they stayed at the cabin in South Jersey. There is a photo of my Mom and Dad at your house, Ann. She is pouring coffee and everyone is having a great time. My parents were always talking about the fun they all had together, so I thought it was important to share these moments with you and to tell you how saddened I was to see that your dear Mom had passed away.
My Dad also passed away in April of 2008 and my Mom lived to be 96 and passed away in November 2014. We were all blessed to have such wonderful and loving parents and grandparents. Peace be to all of you. Sincerely, Judy Fothergill

In trying to pick a favorite memory of Grandma to share, I really couldn’t choose just one. For me, it’s not about one specific moment with Grandma, but a collection of moments that add up to help me remember who she was and how she lived her life.
I will remember her baking, cooking, crafting and quilting.
I’ll remember the first time I took my husband, Robert, to visit Grandma and Pop in Afton. Robert ate so much of her beef stew that he could not eat any more.
I remember being guaranteed a game of Scrabble or cards in the dining room anytime we visited. And Grandma never went easy on us because we were kids, either. She was a competitor, and she was fierce!
I remember rocking in the swing on the back porch. Enjoying the quiet peace of the back yard and chatting about nothing special, or everything important, all at the same time.
I remember rubbing Grandma’s skin when I was young and asking how she got it to be so soft.
I remember how excited I was to get a package from Grandma filled with homemade gifts. From jelly, to cross stitch tablecloths, to coasters, to Christmas ornaments - knowing she spent time making something for me always made me feel loved and special.
To me Grandma was the type of grandma you saw on TV, but she was real, and she was ours. From a young age I could recognize that she was special and someone that I wanted to be like. She was strong, yet feminine. She was kind, opinionated, and faithful. She was talented, humble, and compassionate. I like to think that I inherited some of those qualities from her, but no one will ever be the perfect mix of them that she was. I’ll miss her, but I’ll also find comfort in the special moments we shared that will live on in my memories. And I’ll enjoy telling stories about her to my own children for years to come. And most of all, I’ll be thankful that God loved me enough to give me Annabelle Norby as my grandma.

Aunt Annabelle was simply the best Auntie anyone could ever have. And an incredible Mother as Ann, Arlen and Allen are proof. Ann is a loving cousin, Mother and cared for her Mother with that same love despite the Alheimers which robbed Annabelle of her memory. My heart and love go out to her entire family.

Ann, Sarah, Amy & Amanda and the rest of the family...I am so glad I got to know and love Annabelle. I am sad for your loss and at the same time happy that she is now back with Pop! I am also thankful that she is in the arms of our Lord Jesus now and no longer in any pain or distress. I will miss Annabelle and I know her family will miss her! Love to you all, Deb

Dear Ann and Family-
So very sorry to hear about Annabelle's passing. She graciously welcomed me into her home for one of your birthday parties several years ago, and I remember several stories from you about her. I hope you remember and cherish the special times before her illness. I am praying and thinking of all of you.
