I learned of Brett's passing on Friday, while meeting Claude Huckabone and Brett's horse Jaipur in the Winner's Circle at Vernon Downs. Everyone from the AHA/ASA was very sorry to learn of his death and our thoughts and prayers go out to the family. Having just lost my 85 year-old father in May after a year-long battle against heart disease, preceded by 30 years of treatment; I cannot imagine how difficult such a sudden loss at such a young age is to cope with... Hearing about Brett made me realize how lucky I was to be able to say a very long goodbye to my father. Again, very sorry for your loss.

Brett was the most laid back fellow I know! he would work so hard to get his horses ready to race and then the driver would give them a bad drive and he would never get upset!!!! he would just take the lines and thank the driver and look on to next weeks race. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of you. Brett was a wonderful young man who was always there to give a helping hand when people needed one. He spent allot of time thru the years on the hill with our family and it was a pleasure to see what a fine young man he grew up to be. He will be greatly missed by all of us.
