Freemont C. Martin
Sidney—Freemont Case Martin, 70, passed away on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at Chestnut Park Rehab & Nursing Center in Oneonta. Freemont was born on August 13, 1946 in Bainbridge, son of the late Eugene and Phoebe (Follett) Martin. He attended Bainbridge School and was a longtime employee of Unalam in Sidney. On June 13, 2009, he was married to Huldah "Buttons" Jackson.
He is survived by his wife, Huldah "Buttons" Martin of Sidney; brother, David and Linda Martin of Max Meadows, VA and their children: Cora (Doug), Jason (Sally) and Amanda (Peter) and their families; special cousins, Vi and Ed Lewis of Sidney as well as many other cousins and family, and his 5 godchildren.
Friends may call from 5:00-7:00pm on Friday, September 2, 2016 at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, 21 Main St. Sidney. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, September 3rd at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 25 River St. Sidney with Deacon Roy Vandermark officiating. Burial will be held in Greenlawn Cemetery, Bainbridge. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to St. Paul's Church, or to the American Diabetes Association at www.diabetes.org. Condolences and memories may be shared with the family online at www.landersfh.com.
