Wow, was shocked to hear of Randy's passing. Where do I start. I have know Randy for many years and if you are a Mets Fan, he always called me Eddie Kranepool. Every time Randy and I saw each other coming down the road we would always swerve toward each other in the car and laugh about it later, until the night the NYSP pulled me over thinking I had been drinking...we laughed about it for years. Randy was a great friend and the memories I have will stay in my heart. We lost a friend on earth, but heaven will gain a man with a big heart, and they will be laughing all of the time. I will miss you my dear friend and one day will look forward to meeting up with you once again. Hambone (Kranepool)

Though I have not seen Randy and Annette for many years, it is the laughter that remains embedded in my memory. When I recall Randy it is all about smiles, teases, winks and belly rolls. That is a wonderful memory to have of an individual and of a family. Love, thoughts, and hugs Annette and family.

Learning of Randy's passing was a shock to say the least. Reading the condolences - there is a running theme. Randy's friendliness, laughter, going out of his way for anyone.. He was certainly one of a kind. We remember him at the bowling alley; school; around town; out and about. John and I send our deepest sympathies to his family.

He was a great dad and he was so proud of his kids. They were his life and he was always there to support them in all their activities. RIP Randy and know you have always been a very special guy to us. Special love and hugs to Jessica and Jared - always remember all the good times you had with your dad. Randy -"Otis" - was one of the most naturally funny and likeable guys I have ever known. Just being in his presence always made everyone feel better - truly the life of any gathering!! As with a lot of us- we lose track of many people over the years so I was really fortunate to see Randy a couple months back and catch up with him a little bit. Sidney has lost one of it's original hometown son's and I will miss you my friend. My deep and heartfelt condolences go out to all his family and friends. Thanks Otis- for sharing your life with us- We're definitely all the better for it!

To Randy's family,
I have known Randy since he was 17. I worked at the original Nina's Pizza and he was a "frequent flyer". I always loved his perpetual smile and jovial personality. It was always a pleasure to bump into him, here and there, in town. I always came away in such a good mood for having that brief interaction.
I was truly saddened to read his obituary. Those bump-into's will never happen again, and that hurts. I am so very sorry for your loss. It is a loss for anyone and everyone with whom he schmoozed. He was such a delightful presence.
I hope you find it comforting to know how well regarded he was, even to people like me, who did not know him all that well, but thought so much of him by what I did know.
I wish you peace as you grieve your loss.
With loving thoughts of your dad, brother, step-son!
Teri

There is no doubt Randy was a rebel...but this rebel had a cause, which was being a proud father to two great kids. He also made sure everyone around him was gonna laugh or at least smile when he was around.
No one figured he'd be Cubmaster for Jarred, but he was a good one. No one thought he'd be a "dance dad" for Jessica but he was the best one. His kids were always priority one.
To many of the same age, he was "Otis"...who else could embrace his middle name like that?? He made others feel good just by his presence. That was his gift. Sympathies to all family members and know he will truly be missed.
