Obituary of Madeline Mehlin

Madeline Mehlin Binghamton, NY Madeline Mehlin, formerly of Afton, NY, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, December 20, 2009. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Mehlin, and her daughter, Catherine Knapp. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, James and Ann Mehlin of Charlottesville, VA; three grandsons, Michael, Mark and Scott Mehlin of Charlottesville, VA; one granddaughter, Shayne Byington and her husband Jeremy of Albuquerque, NM; great-granddaughter Jayden Byington and great-grandson Jayson Byington, both of Albuquerque, NM; a son-in-law Gilbert Knapp of Afton, NY; a step-grandson Benjamin Birtle of Charlottesville, VA; two beloved brothers Herbert Larsen of Flushing, NY and Henry Larsen and his wife Ann of Poughkeepsie, NY; many nieces, nephews and cousins; and three very special friends, Ruth McQuiston of Afton, NY, Linda and Leo Heller of Canton, MS. Madeline was a member of the Afton Presbyterian Church, the Afton Senior Citizens and the Eastern Broome Senior Center in Harpursville, NY. Friends may call Tuesday, December 29, 2009 from 2-4pm at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel 21 Main St. Sidney, NY 13838. Funeral services will be held later that evening at 7:00pm at the funeral chapel with Rev. Lynn Shephard, pastor of the Afton Presbyterian Church, officiating.
