Obituary of Troy L. Vandermark

Troy L. Vandermark Sidney, NY Troy L. Vandermark, 36, of Sidney, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on February 27, 2016 at Bassett Hospital, Cooperstown. Troy, or Fester as he was affectionately known, was born on August 22, 1979 to Charlie and Heather Vandermark in Susquehanna, PA. He was a graduate of Sidney High School. He was known for his cooking skills and worked at many local restaurants. Fester loved to hunt and fish and be outdoors. He was a diehard NY Giants fan, as well as an avid NY Yankees fan. Fester leaves behind his precious daughter, Piper, whom he cherished. He also leaves behind his mother, Heather, and step-father Robert Crowley; sisters: Heather Cotten and her daughter, Mackenzie; Bambi Tomas (Antonio) and children, Antonio and Hannah; Charli Jo Oliver (Evan) and children, Justice and Alex; Sue Northrop (Ron) and children Kari and Billy; Angel Leonard (Randy) and children, Ricky and Marissa; brothers: Ted, Tom, Tony and John Vandermark; and stepbrothers Sean and Frank Crowley and their families. Fester was predeceased by his father, Charlie; 2 nieces, Bailey Tomas and Macie Cotten; an infant sister, Kimmie; step-brother, Robbie Crowley and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Fester was a warm, loving person who leaves behind many, many friends who will miss him deeply. He will remain forever in our hearts. A memorial service will be held at 3:00pm on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at the Sidney Moose Lodge 277, East Main Street, Sidney.
