Obituary of Robert J. Lombardi

Robert J. Lombardi Bainbridge, NY Robert J. Lombardi 88 died peacefully on February 19, 2016 at the New York State Veterans Home in Oxford, NY where he had been a resident since 2010. Born on May 7, 1927 he was a resident of Staten Island until moving to Bainbridge, NY in 2004. He honorably served in the US Air Force prior to being employed by the NY Metropolitan Transportation Authority and served as manager of the freight operations office on Staten Island until his retirement. He was a lifelong NY Yankee fan and enjoyed attending Staten Island Yankee games with his grandchildren. His passion was bowling. He was married to Carrie (Errichello) who lost her battle with cancer in 1973. In 1977 he married Lucy (Scott), she passed away in 2007. He was also predeceased by his brother, Michael and son by marriage, James Scott. Bob is survived by his daughters Donna Ferraro, Staten Island, Bonny Scott, Staten Island and Hope Scott, Masonville. Grandchildren Angela, Christina, Sarah, Khadejah and Peter of Staten Island 2 Great grandchildren Sister – Joanne (Ralph) Lenzi, Hawley, PA Brother – Thomas (Patricia) Lombardi, Kendall Park, NJ Sister-in-law – Maryann Lombardi, North Brunswick Sister - Susan (Robert) Whepley, Staten Island And many cherished nieces and nephews. Friends may call Thursday, February 25, 2016 from 12 Noon to 1:00 PM at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel 21 Main St. Sidney. Funeral services with military honors will follow at 1:00 PM in the funeral chapel with Fr. Darr Schoenhofen officiating. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery in Mt. Upton.
