I am deeply saddened by the news of Ben. We were in the same class for many years and graduated proudly in the class of "72". We also lived in the village and Ben and I along with many other friends lived life with a lot of energy, fun and adventure. I sit here with a sad heart, with memories from along time ago. Although I knew little of Ben's adult life it seems as he was very happy and fulfilled. A life taken too soon from a family that loved so much. I thank God for the memories of my wonderful friend and I know in time your memories will make you laugh, smile and cry no matter how many years go by.

To the Hobbie family: My thoughts and prayers go out to you all. I was sooo saddened to hear of his passing. I met Ben many yrs ago, and what a happy easy going guy. Always enjoyed life and was a lot of fun. He will be missed by anyone whose life he touched. May he RIP.k

I am so sorry for your loss! I lived on Main Street in Unadilla a few houses from where Ben had grown up. I hadn't seen him in years! I am sure he will be missed by all that knew him!

We were so saddened to hear Ben had passed away. I had the pleasure of working with him at Five Star years ago. He always had a warm smile and we shared a lot of laughs together. You could tell he really loved his family. Our condolences and sympathy are with you all during this difficult time.

I am so very sad to see this happened to such a great person. I worked right next to Ben at country club for over a year. He always helped anybody with anything. This man taught me a lot in the little bit of time that I knew him. My condolences go out to all of Bens family and friends. RIP BEN you will be missed

I am so sorry to hear of "Bennie's" departure from this life. I recently friended him on Facebook and sent him a message referring to him as an "old playmate" and that is how I will always remember him, as a spirited and friendly little boy. I'm so very sorry I am away at this sad time. Ben was liked by everyone with few if any people that didn't like him. Even years ago my Uncle "Spick" wanted to hire him when he worked in Walton. No one could ask for a better brother in-law. Rest In Peace Ben.
