Obituary of Gloria DuFour

Gloria DuFour Sidney, NY Gloria (Phillips) DuFour, 64, of Sidney, passed away on Thursday, May 22, 2014 at Bassett Medical Center after an extended illness. She was born on December 8, 1949, daughter of the late Jack and Rusty (Brown) Phillips in Cooperstown. She graduated from Sidney High School with the Class of 1968 and worked a variety of local jobs before moving to Lake George with her husband, Hank. She lived in Lake George for over 20 years before returning to Sidney in 2007. Gloria had a free spirited, fun loving soul. She was a member of the Women of the Moose. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed collecting M&M paraphernalia. A real people person, Gloria loved having a drink and laughing with anyone around. She is survived by: 2 sisters: Cheryl Kozlowski and her husband, Steve of Bainbridge Janet Fox and her husband, Richard of San Marcos, TX Nieces and Nephew: Kim Ives, Dillon Ives and Briana Mahanay As well as her beloved companion, her dog, Bandit Gloria was predeceased by her parents, Jack and Rusty Phillips, and her husband, Hank DuFour. Friends are invited to call from 10:00-11:00am on Saturday, May 31, 2014 at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, 21 Main St. Sidney. A memorial service will follow at 11:00am with Fr. Gordon Polenz officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to Cooperstown Medical Transport, PO Box 202 Cooperstown, NY 13326, for their exceptional care shown to Gloria.
