Obituary of Ann Marie Sherman

Ann Marie Sherman Guilford, NY Ann Marie Sherman, 77, of Guilford and a resident at the NYS Veterans Home in Oxford, passed away on Thursday, May 15, 2014 at Wilson Regional Medical Center in Johnson City. Ann was born on September 30, 1936, daughter of the late Raymond and Sarah (Barnum) Himpele in Stamford, NY. On November 24, 1955, she was married to Daniel Sherman, III. He predeceased her on October 15, 1984. Ann worked as a dietician manager at the NYS Veterans Home in Oxford and The Hospital in Sidney before retiring in 1990. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed cooking. Ann is survived by: 5 Children: Jim Sherman, Dan and Doris Sherman, Jack Sherman, Sally and Dan VanValkenburg and Wendy Stoquert As well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren In addition to her parents and husband, Ann was predeceased by her son, David in February 2014. Friends are invited to call on Sunday, May 18, 2014 from 5:00 to 7:00pm at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, 21 Main St. Sidney, NY 13838.
