Obituary of Gary A. Gilbert

Gary A. Gilbert Unadilla, NY Gary A. Gilbert, 69, longtime resident of Unadilla, passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at Chestnut Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Oneonta. Gary was born on November 1, 1944 son of the late Arthur H. Gilbert and Madeline (Cole) Sherman in Sidney. Gary worked for Keith Clark Corp. and Una-Lam in Sidney for many years, retiring from Una-Lam in 2009. Gary loved cars. He collected model cars and enjoyed attending classic car shows. He could easily point them out and tell you the year, make and model. Gary is survived by: Son, Stephen Gilbert of Sycamore, Illinois 2 granddaughters, Emily and Bailey Gilbert of Illinois 2 Sisters: Kathie and husband, John Thompson of Mt. Upton Gail and husband, George Hearth of Harpursville 4 Half-Brothers: Jerry and wife, Betsy Gilbert of North Carolina Richard Gilbert of Monticello Jim Gilbert of Norwich Craig and wife, Mary Gilbert of New Berlin Nieces and Nephews: Derrick, Darryl and Kris Bargher, Kyle Thompson, Donna O'Connor and Cheryl Herndon Gary was predeceased by his parents, and his beloved dog, Woody. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
