Obituary of Barbara Robbins Kingsbury

Barbara Robbins Kingsbury Masonville, NY Barbara Robbins Kingsbury, 63, of Masonville, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, February 6, 2014. Barbara was born on December 13, 1950, daughter of the late Charles and Marjorie (Dean) Robbins in Sidney. She graduated from Sidney High School with the Class of 1970. On July 2, 1977, Barbara was married to Thomas Kingsbury in Sidney. Barbara worked for Bard Parker in Hancock for 31 years and for Mead in Sidney for 5 years, and was fondly referred to by coworkers as "Bo" or "Smiley". She was a life member of the Sidney VFW Ladies Auxiliary, and a member of the Sidney Women of the Moose and the Masonville Rod & Gun Club. Barb enjoyed Facebook, keeping track of family and friends alike, as well as playing cards, especially pinochle. She was friendly to everyone and will be sorely missed. Barbara is survived by: Loving husband of 36 years, Thomas Kingsbury of Masonville 2 Sons, Warner Kingsbury of Masonville and Michael Kingsbury of Sidney 2 granddaughters, Emily and Aiyana 3 siblings: Sharon Robbins of Sidney; Kevin Robbins of Sidney and Joyce Rhinebeck of Walton As well as numerous nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to call from 6:00 to 8:00pm on Sunday, February 9, 2014 at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, 21 Main St. Sidney. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Monday, February 10th at the funeral chapel with Rev. Harold Lefler officiating. Burial will take place in the spring in Ouleout Valley Cemetery, Franklin. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Barbara's name may be made to the Masonville Fire Dept., 15488 State Highway 8, Masonville, NY 13804.
