Margaret S. Doolittle Bainbridge, NY Margaret S. Doolittle, 92, passed away on Friday, December 20, 2013 at Chestnut Park Rehabilitation andNursingCenter,Oneonta,NY. Margaret was born August 30, 1921 to Earl C. and Julia (Ruland) Stevens on The Plains,Doraville,NY. She grew up inHarpursville,NYand graduated fromHarpursvilleCentralSchoolin 1939. Margaret married Richard J. Doolittle on December 14, 1940. They resided in Bainbridge where they raised their four children and her sister's children who lost their parents while young. In addition to her parents, Margaret was predeceased by her sister, Helen Jane VanderMark, brother-in-law, Nelson VanderMark, her nephew Ronald G. VanderMark, several aunts, uncles, cousins and sisters- and brothers-in-law. Margaret is survived by her husband of seventy-three years, Richard J. Doolittle of Bainbridge; their children, Donna L. JohnsonBrown (Niles Brown), Tully, NY; Karen (John) Champion, Remington, VA; John (Pat) Doolittle, Sr, Bainbridge, and James Doolittle, Rome, NY; nephews, Daniel (Kathy) VanderMark, Oswego, NY; David VanderMark, Baltimore, MD; and niece Lora Corson, Newark Valley, NY. Also nine grandchildren, Amy (Derek) Vogt, Chester Springs, PA; Timothy Johnston, Austin, TX; Brian (Shelley) Beaumont, Burdette, NY; Stacy (Kenneth) Rounds, Stafford, VA; Mariel (Frank) Lewis, Rochelle, VA; Allen Beaumont, Bealeton, VA; Michelle Hoffmon, S. Glens Falls, NY; John Doolittle, Jr, Bainbridge and Samantha Doolittle, Holland Patent, NY; great-nephews and nieces Daniel VanderMark, San Francisco, CA; Matthew VanderMark, Oswego, NY; Rachelle Husted, Lindsay Corson and William Corson, Newark Valley, NY; 14 great-grandchildren; a favorite cousin, William Watrous of Syracuse and brother-in-law Frank Doolittle of Bainbridge. There will be no services. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. A special note of appreciation is extended to the staff atChestnutParkfor their kind and compassionate care.
