Obituary of Eva H. Hill

Eva H. Hill Bainbridge, NY Eva (Eve) H. Hill, 90, of Bainbridge, passed away on Thursday, December 19, 2013 at her home. She was born August 4, 1923 in Pittsfield, NY, the daughter of the late Glen L. and Clara (Holden) Harrington. On January 24, 1959, she married Thomas J. Hill in Honesdale, PA. He predeceased her on May 20, 1977. Eve is survived by: her sister-in-law, Esther Harrington of Honesdale, PA, a niece, Valerie (Harrington) Husband of Zephyrhills, FL, nephew, James and Debbie Shelp of Honesdale, PA and several cousins. Eve is also survived by her long time companion, Charlie Stokes of Bainbridge. In addition to her husband, Eve was predeceased by her brother, Adrian G. Harrington. At the time of her retirement, Eve was self-employed with a bookkeeping and secretarial business. Previous to opening her own business, she was employed by NBT Bank in Afton, and the Bendix Corporation (Scintilla Division), Sidney, now known as Amphenol. There will be no calling hours or funeral service. A graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family in Eastside Cemetery, Afton.
