Jean was one of a kind! I was over 30 yrs old, in her beauty shop, and she was telling me I was too old NOT to have pierced ears. I was soooo afraid of needles and while we were talking/arguing the point---she pierced one of my ears! Then she said, "Well, one down---get ready for the other!" She was an awesome lady and wanted everyone to be beautiful, inside and out. My heartfelt sympathy to the family.

I will forever be grateful to Jean for giving me a position as a hairstylist right out of beauty school almost 40 years ago. She patiently taught me the skills that would enable me to parlay into a lifelong career. I was most fortunate to express my appreciation to her in person a couple of years ago. Thank you, Jean.
