Obituary of Calvin S. Pritchard

Calvin S. Pritchard Sidney, NY Calvin S. Pritchard 79 of Sidney passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, September 15, 2013 at his home. He was born November 26, 1933, son of the late William and Avis (Butts) Pritchard in Masonville. Calvin graduated from Sidney High School with the Class of 1952. After graduation, he served his country in the United States Army from 1953 to 1956 during Korea. After being honorably discharged, Calvin and his family owned and operated the family farm in Masonville. He later started to drive for Breakstone's in Walton and locally drove a milk truck for Queens Farms. Calvin retired as a cross country truck driver for Chuck Neers & Sons in Damascus, PA. He was a member of the Sidney American Legion and the Sidney VFW. Calvin is survived by his Children: Lisa (Philip) Devine, Christina (David) Pritchard, Lynette Pritchard, Martin Pritchard Karen Pritchard and her boyfriend, Mike Dreste Grandchildren - Heather (Neil) Loadholt, Michael Pritchard, Matthew Pritchard (Sara Deering) and their daughter Annabella Greg (Lisa) Kruger, Dan Kruger, Lyndsey (Sam) Chastain and their son Samuel Nicholas Pritchard, Stephen Devine, Alexander Pritchard, Caitlin Wormsley Sisters - Delores Mattison, Frances Carroll, Gail Wormsley Nieces, nephews and cousins He was also predeceased by his wife, Beverly, brother, Elliott and Son, Stephen Friends may call 1-4 PM on October 5, 2013 at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel 21 Main St. Sidney. A memorial service will follow at 4 PM with Rev. David Gatje officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Saratoga National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Peace Plantation 12752 NY Route 206 Walton, NY 13856. Condolences and memories may be shared at www.landersfh.com.
