Mrs. Button had to be the most wonderful teacher my children ever had in Masonville school. She was so good to them and especially Zachary. She had him for three years. She will be missed by us all. Love to her family and we are so sorry for your loss.

Many will make their thoughts known of Betsy Button the teacher - how wonderful she was in that regard! - but let me say that I knew her as the mother of two friends and part of a life-long marriage of two incredible people. Family was always so important...how many times she started a conversation asking about my parents or my brothers. Kids in Masonville were extremely blessed to have a rock-solid supporter in their education. Truly "old school" while in school. She did it right! Peggy and Sue, you know Imlove you both and hope you also know how many lives your mom touched. She will not be forgotten. My sympathies to you and your families.

Our thoughts and prayers go to the entire extended family of Betsy. Betsy served the community of Masonville and Sidney in so many ways over the years. Her most recent years have been hard on all that knew her. May her passing be one in which her whole family can reflect on happier times when her memory was intact and her life filled with caring for others.

Betsy was one of the first teachers I met at Masonville School when I began teaching there. She was a wonderful mentor to me as were all of those who welcomed me to the Masonville School family. She not only helped me become a better teacher, she also was a model parent as I was raising young children at the time. I frequently sought her advice on certain things. I send my condolences to her daughters and extended family. May they find comfort in their wonderful memories.

My deepest sympathy to the family. I taught with Betsy from 1973 to 1987 in Masonville. She was such a kind, generous, thoughtful friend and colleague. We all spoke fondly of her at the Masonville reunion picnic this summer.

I was sorry to hear of the death of your mom and would have liked to have expressed my sympathy in person but was unable to. I enjoyed working with Betsy because of her bright smile and positive attitude. She was a great teacher and had an impact on all the students she had contact with. She will be missed.
