Obituary of James A. Waldron

James A. Waldron Chicopee, MA James A. Waldron was born on August 13, 1954 in Holyoke, MA and passed away on August 6, 2013 in Springfield, MA. He was predeceased by his parents, Edna and Claude Waldron, Sr. He is survived by: sister, Genevie and Donald Mott of Masonville; brother, Joan and Donald Puffer, Granby, MA; sister and caretakers, Vivian and Larry Granger, Chicopee, MA; sister, Marjorie Tiffany, Sidney; half-sister, Elizabeth Dixson, Sidney; and by good friends and neighbors, Joan and Richard Ozga, Chicopee, MA. James is survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, his church family and friends at Riverside Industries. No matter where he lived or traveled, he always made new friends. He was a member of the Second Baptist Church in South Hadley, MA for many years. James worked at Riverside Industries, Inc. in Easthampton, MA for 15 years. Whatever the task he was asked to do, he willingly did it. James enjoyed church hymns, Blue Grass music, playing cards, games, singing, picnics, birthday parties, ice cream on Rt. 47, McDonald's, holding babies and campfires on the back lawn with family and friends. Although James had health problems through the years, he over came them and had a wonderful appreciation for life. In lieu of flowers, donations to Riverside Industries, Inc., One Cottage Street, Easthampton, MA 01027 would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours will be at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, 21 Main St., Sidney on August 23, 2013 from 10:30am to 12:30pm. A graveside service will be held at 1:00pm at the Ouleout Valley Cemetery in Franklin, NY with Eugene Pigford officiating. A luncheon for family and friends will be held at the Franklin American Legion immediately following the service. Condolences may be shared with the family online at www.landersfh.com.
