Obituary of Mable Beatrice Taft

Bea Taft Bainbridge, NY Bea Taft, born in 1928 Mable Beatrice Aldrich, graduate of Bainbridge High School, and wife for 65 years of Darwin Olin Taft, died July 31, 2013 after a long illness at their Bainbridge home. She was predeceased by parents, Raymond and Alta Aldrich, daughter Kathryn and John Arend, daughter Ellen Regan and granddaughter, Jessica Regan. She is survived by husband, Darwin; sister, Mary Kinter; daughter, Darlene Alexander; daughter, Nancy Rae Taft and Jen Ramsey; daughter, Nancy Jean and David Culver; daughter, Lois and Joseph DeLano; son, Terry Taft; son, David and Laura Taft; son, Richard and Charisse Taft; and son-in-law Timothy and Colleen Regan. She is also survived by grandchildren: Brent Arend, Mandie and Dennis Davis, Michelle Dehnel, Daniel Alexander, Ashley and Benjamin Dudden, Melissa and Matthew Fuller, Samantha and Fernando Hernandez, Amber Musnicky, Julia Beth and Bradley, Nicholas and Joshua, Shyann and Toby, Athen, Brayden and Evan Taft; and great-grandchildren: Severia Arend, Alyssa Kubiak and Xavier Hernandez, Calissa and Adalynn Alexander, Aiden Fuller and Catelyn Taft. Remembering Bea fondly are many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Since Bea's business was homemaking and raising children, she and her husband Darwin cared for countless children (natural born, adopted, foster, babysat and Fresh Air) in Endicott, Rockdale and Bainbridge. The family will receive friends from 12:00noon to 2:00pm on Saturday, August 10, 2013 at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, Bainbridge. A memorial service will begin at 2:00pm in the church with interment immediately following in the St. Peter's Church Cemetery. Donations may be sent in lieu of flowers to St. Peter's Church or to the charity of ones choice. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.landersfh.com.
