To , my husband and I this is like losing a member of our family. We have been more than friends for many years. We are dairy farmers, now retired, but Bob was always there to help if we needed it, he could fix anything, several months ago he fixed my tired old JD lawn mower to work like new. The coffee pot was always on at his house and ours. We will miss him terribly.
Sincerely, Julie & Douglas Moore

I was in the bank in Afton, Tuesday and saw the girls last name, Ireland.....I asked her if Bob was her father, she said no her uncle.......Bob was a patient of mine at Dr. Nelsons dental office...I can remember Bob coming in when we had Saturday hours...He was 1 of my more colorful pts..My grandfathter was a dairy farmer so we had alot to talk about...One thing we talked about were horses..Marion he spoke with fondness and love of how the 2 of you used to trail ride together..He remembered that as one of his most favorite times spent with you..He was special and I am richer for knowing him..Sorry for your loss.....DL Rhodes

I have not had the priviledge of knowing Bob for very long, only about a year, but I will definately miss him. On behalf of everyone who works in the warehouse at Ultra Dairy in Delhi, Bob was a good friend and we will never forget the memories that we have of Bob.

I first met Bob in1987 when he wanted to take time off for the farm and I covered his load to Baltimore. It wasn't long and I was loading every Friday with Bob in Syracuse, meeting him every Sunday night so we could swap "drops" around and then back in Jessup, Md. Monday. Night. The rest of the week we loaded multiple stop loads out of Shedd's Margarine for another dear friend, Virginia Dollings. For 11 years I was his "sidekick". You could always depend on Bob to be the first one there when someone needed a hand. Over a cup of coffee he wasn't a bit shy about giving a little advice, telling you what he thought about something or talking about his family. You'll be missed Bob, you made your mark. Rest in peace Ol' Buddy!

I will miss him so much at the family reunions. We would spend lots of time talking about politics and other important issues, where we mostly agreed. But, on the topics where we disagreed, he would strongly defend his position. Rest in peace, dear one.
