Obituary of Patricia Ann Barnes

Patricia A. Barnes Sidney-Unadilla, New York Patricia A. Barnes, a very special wife, mother, grandmother and friend, left us peacefully with her family by her side on Friday, March 29, 2013 at Chenango Memorial Hospital in Norwich. Pat was born on June 24, 1939, daughter of the late Charles and Marion (Earl) Caswell in Oneonta, NY. She graduated from Sidney High School in 1957. In 1958, Pat married her childhood sweetheart, Dick. In 2001, she retired from the Amphenol Corporation after several years of service. Pat is survived by: her devoted husband, Richard; her children: Cindi (Russell), Rick (Jen) and Connie; her grandchildren, Matthew (Carly), Meghan (Jeremy), Michael, Chris, Erica (Jason), Owen, Marrannda, Stephanie, Kyle, Derek and Trevor; a great-grandson, Carter; and brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Ruby. Pat enjoyed cooking, reading, bowling, and taking trips to Myrtle Beach, Bristol, TN and Port Orange, FL. Her biggest joy was her husband and her family. She was a member of the MacDonald Hose Company #1 Auxiliary of the Sidney Fire Department. Pat was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend who will be sorely missed. Friends are invited to call from 1:00-3:00pm on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, 21 Main St. Sidney. A memorial service will follow at 3:00pm at the funeral chapel with Rev. Benjamin Shaw officiating. Memorial donations in Pat's memory may be directed to the MacDonald Hose Company Auxiliary, East Main Street Sidney, NY 13838. The family would like to say thank you to the employees of the Valley View Manor Nursing Home in Norwich for caring for Pat the last seven months. We love you more than words can say!
