I have known Ed ever since my Little league baseball days and have many fond memories of baseball, bowling, golf and just good conversations with him. He was a special guy that worked diligently to make Sidney a better place to live. Butch and the rest of the Roelle family can be proud of all of Ed's accomplishments. He lived an active life and served as an example of community spirit. Rest in peace.

Ed was a great asset to the Sidney area. Knowing him from the Tri Town News, and the bowling alley, he alway made me feel good because he followed me in my softball path, wanting to make sure he kept tabs on me. Ed was a friend of Eddie Feigner "the king and his court" and was Eddie's best man in his wedding.
Thanks for being a true friend Ed and will always remember our fond visits.

Ed was my neighbor, first employer (mowing the lawn), and much more along the way. He encouraged my writing for the Tri-Town News, which was my proving ground covering sports - and not getting paid. It helped us both. When he and Butch sold the house I got my one and only visit inside and took away from great Sidney sports memorabilia. His inductions into Boy Scouting's version of the Hall of Fame and inaugural Canoe Regatta HOF were both well-deserved. He took a lot of projects on for the betterment of the community which he adopted so long long ago. Thanks, Ed. Your efforts will stay in Sidney for decades to come.

I only knew Ed briefly through the course of my job as office manager at his dental office. I left that job a couple of years ago, but was saddened when I saw his obit yesterday...I always enjoyed talking to Ed and his ever-optimistic spirit. He made an impression! Despite his health issues, he was such a bright spot in my day at the office. It was hard not to catch his upbeat attitude. It was contagious. RIP Ed...

I will forever hold fond memories of Ed. I loved our lunches at Black Eyed Pea and hearing his stories. Ed had such a wonderful outlook on life and always had a smile on his face. I will miss hearing about his various Boy Scout adventures.
The Roelle Family will be in my thoughts and prayers.
