I wish to extend my condolences to the Hitchcock family. No doubt my memories of Don were during his tenure as Mayor of Afton. From that, he always bugged me why we - meaning WCDO Radio - did not include Afton in mentioning the Tri-Towns; also he was a fixture when I did the annual Santa Claus remote, usually at Horton Hardware. It was easy to tell Don had the stage and the microphone for this event, as he loved hosting Santa and bringing so many folks to downtown Afton at one time. RIP, sir.

Dad, one chapter closes and a new one begins! I am grateful for all life lessons that you taught me, from changing the breaks on my car, to computer lessons. I remember you coming to watch my games when I played on the teams in high school and your sage advice about how to play better. I am so glad that you are no longer suffering!

I worked for Don at Link for several years. My parents had died before I knew Don and he was mentor at work and a second Dad for me. He saw me through some tought times in my life with the loss of my two sons. Thanks Don.
