My condolences to Don Jr.'s family. I never met your mother, Don, but I sure am grateful to have had you in my life as a musical mentor and life-long friend. No doubt she and your father laid the path for you to follow. I'm sure you have many heartwarming memories to comfort you.

Don and family, Sincere sympathy to all of you on the passing of your beloved Mom.
As I read her obituary in the Herkimer Telegram, I could picture going to your Dad's studio for our senior pictures. I wonder how many hundreds he took throughout the years.
Your parents were kind and caring people who were respected by all who knew them. May they rest in peace.
May their family remember the good times you've shared, and may you remember they are always near us even though we cannot see them.
You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

A kind, gentle, caring soul who was always first in line when someone needed help. I smile at the thought of her reunion in heaven with family that prepared the way for her.

Lynne and family, Donnie & family, Doug & family, Sue & family, to all the Robertson clan. I wanted to express my deepest sympathy for the loss of your mother, a beautiful gentle spirit. She was my dear friend. I know that heaven is a brighter place and I'm betting that Don is there with his infectious smile and open arms to greet her. I pray one day I will see both of them again. Eleanor and I have kept in touch for many years, I guess it really continued after Jimmy's death. She and I would call each other and have "our chats" as she called them, updating one another on family. Eleanor was all about family. I would get an update on Heather, Adam and little Doug, whom she informed me wasn't so little anymore. I also heard about the triplet's and told her I wished I could see what they looked like all grown, she told me they were just beautiful. We brushed over tragedies and laughed over great memories. Eleanor took an interest in everything I did and filled me with encouragement, she was a wonderful friend and she was close to my heart over the years, thinking of her often. I recall on one occasion, she called me when she lived in Florida, we spent over 2 hours on the phone. I was worried about her bill, she just said in her calm sweet voice, "you know we don't do this very often" "we should do it more, I really enjoy our chats". It was always hard for us to say good bye to one another. However, I would get a kick out of her introduction when she called me.. as she would always start with.. "you know who this is don't you?" and of course, I would laugh and immediately know that soft sweet voice with that Eleanor giggle. I received her Christmas cards each year and on occasion would miss one and then wonder how she was doing. I have many fond memories of time spent with both Eleanor and Don, and the family at camp and in Herkimer. Jimmy and I did alot of things with them back then. Eleanor was always so good to me and I loved her very much. She saw the good in everyone. I think of her everytime I see lillies of the valley, those little white bell shaped flowers she so loved that spread on the banks near the cottage in Cooperstown. I hope at this time you will all think of her with happy thoughts and memories and carry her in your hearts wherever you go, I know I will. Eleanor was an epic personality and I shall never forget her. My heart is there with you and will be there with all of you on Saturday, please tell her I said goodbye. All my love, Sandy

irborne in the 60's and so enjoyed all of her flying stories. It was awesome !! I have to say that one of the things that I remember the most was her homemade donuts. She always saved the holes for us kids at the lake. Please know that you are all in our prayers and thoughts. God Bless you Barbar & Harry Jernigan

The first part of my memories was left out. We live in Jacksonville, Fl & stopped at the lake to see your Mom when we were up there in 2004. She was such a gracious & sweet lady. My husband really enjoyed her flying stories as he was in the Airborne in the 60's.

How well we remember Eleanor! We enjoyed many telephone conversations with her, and were glad to see her at many family celebrations, particularly the last wedding (Aaron & Jodie). She was a person who knew how to express gratitude, and did so often. What a shining example!
Sincere sympathy to the Robertsons family on her loss.
Grace and peace,
Joe & Barbara

On behalf of my aunts - Marilyn and Rosemary Geraty - long-time friends of Eleanor (since grade school), Don and the Robertson clan - please accept our most heartfelt condolences on the loss of your Mom.
Rosemary & Marilyn so cherished their friendship with Eleanor - a remarkable woman I came to admire and respect thru the recollections of my aunts and my own conversations with her the past few years.
But even as I morn Eleanor's passing, I can't help but smile as I imagine the long-awaited, joy-filled reunion between Rosemary & her dear friend "Ellie".
Please know my thoughts and prayers will be with you and yours ...
Fondly,
Diane Carroll
