Ted was our neighbor at Young's Station for 30 Years and we will have an empty spot in our hearts knowing that he is no longer there. Even though we live in Virginia now Ted continued to keep in touch by E-mail and a surprise phone call every so often. I will always remember the good time we had when we shared the roles in the King and I, and Chuck and I will be forever grateful for the educational support that he gave to both of our girls which helped them to become successful as parents and teachers themselves. We will miss you Ted.

You can't do the "formula" justice on here, but the main collective memory for the 2 full classes of the Calculus for the seniors of 1976 he always said "Pi R Squared...no Pie Are Round". which helped lighten up an otherwise serious and challenging math course. From his stints in TT Theater to the christening of the computer age at SHS, and from the math explanations to the corny jokes, Ted Jones was an amazing mix of intellect, humor and communication. May he rest in peace, and the Davie boys send their condolences to the family.

Ted was always the poised professional in every role he played, whether on stage or classroom. I enjoyed working with him. When I asked my son Andrew what difference Mr. Jones made in his life, he answered, "I was able to skip freshman calculus." He majored in math. Some teachers light fires under students. Ted did it well.

Thank you for showing us this one. Please tell me why it is that extalpvilrege videos are always broken into many short videos like these? It drives me nuts trying to search for the, next step ! And when in total, most all of your videos don't even add up to 10 minutes all together.
