Obituary of Kenneth Edward Miller

Kenneth E. Miller Sidney Center, NY Kenneth E. Miller 69 of Sidney Center entered into eternal life on Sunday, August 19, 2012 at home with his family by his side. He was born September 21, 1942, son of the late Clark and Elizabeth (Collison) Miller in Cooperstown. Ken graduated from Cooperstown Central School with the Class of 1960 and served his country in the United States Air Force from 1960-1961. Ken was employed as a lineman for NYSEG when he retired in 2000. He married Mary E. Barnes on September 9, 2000 in the Sidney Center United Methodist Church. Ken loved to golf and was a longtime member of the Sidney Golf and Country Club; he also enjoyed NASCAR, bowling, fishing and hunting. He is survived by: Wife - Mary E. Barnes, Sidney Center Daughter - Barbara Tiska and her husband Greg, Masonville Step- son - Robert Harder IV, Sidney Center 2 Brothers - Burton Miller and his wife Linda, Odessa, TX Frank Miller and his wife Barbara, Odessa, TX 3 Grandchildren - Cassidy, Brian and Brody Tiska, Masonville Step-granddaughter - Brennah Woolis, Windsor He was also predeceased by brother, John Miller, Aunt and Uncle Helen and Burton Miller and grandson, David Tiska. Friends may call Monday, August 27, 2012 from 7:00 to 8:30 PM at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel 21 Main St. Sidney. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at 2:00 PM in the funeral Chapel with Rev. Rachel Morse of the Unadilla United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery in Sidney.
