To all the Mirabito "children", my Mother Irma Donaloio Rahr and I would like to extend our heartfelt condolences to each of you. Carmie and Soddy were wonderful friends to my uncle Anthony Donaloio who they treated like family. The friendship and loyalty that they shared is a rare in today's world. In sympathy, Brenda Donaloio Lee

My daughters knew Carmie as well as my brother Bill. I knew Carmie through them. She was always so smiling and happy. She cared about everyone. She will be missed here but Heaven has a beautiful angel. My condolences to the family. I know how hard this can be.

I knew Mrs. Mirabito as a woman of faith from the Sacred Heart parish. She was very sweet and kind. My special memory is helping her in the church parking lot after a Saturday evening mass. She’d taken a little skill and I got her up and into her car. She never forgot about that and we’d joke about it for years afterwards.
I know she’s been joyfully accepted into Heaven and will rest eternally!

It's difficult to come up with words to describe what a wonderful woman Mrs. Mirabito was and how important she was to so many of us growing up in Sidney. Some of my fondest memories of my youth centered around the Mirabito house: the parties in the basement and especially how we were always welcome any time day or night. I remember so many nights coming home with Vince and friends and how his mother would always come into the kitchen and feed us no matter how late it was. She was everyone's second mother and will be sorely missed by all. To Vince, Ginny, Ross, Bill, Rick & Jeri: know that you were blessed to have such a wonderful mother who was loved by so many.

I did not expect to see this when I logged on FB today. I am crushed. What a lady she was. Her home was open to everyone but she never tired of it. I know that the loss is great and that it hurts even though the ending was obvious. I am glad that you were with her to see her off. She is looking down on you with your Dad with those same loving eyes full of pride. She remembers, she's not in pain. Thank you for being the great family that you are. I wish I could be there with you. Big hugs to all of you.
Much love and deep respect.

To the family...
How I wish I could be in Sidney as you honor the life of Carmie. I have so many memories of her growing up in our little town...parties in her basement with all my friends, church functions and more. She was a Mom to all of us and raised a great group of children that will, I know, live up to the legacy of Carmie and Soddy. She had a long, full life, and I hope the good memories will help to offset the grief from her passing just a little. Thoughts and prayers are with the Mirabito family.

The matriarch of not only her family but of the James St. neighborhood and campers & counselors at Golden Valley. I was always amazed as she’d sit in the front row at Sacred Heart while parishioners all took her hand passing through during communion.
She was as proud of our families as she was of hers. For that alone I’ll always be grateful being her friend. May she rest in eternal peace.....

To the Entire Mirabito Family-Such a legacy and love you have from your Carmie. She was a fixture in the community and the Sacred Heart Church in Sidney for so many years. She made many of us feel her love for her family when around her, and her faith was unshaken. As a pillar of the community for many of us, she left us all a good example of what is means to live a life of love, faith and devotion to all-Please know many are thinking of you during this time of Carmie's passing-but feeling joy too for a life well lived, knowing she is with the Lord and seeing those that have passed on before her. We wish you all peace and love, and strength to get through such a difficult time, and joy also, at the amazing family she created. May your many memories be shared by all.

To The Mirabito Family,
I will miss Carmie so much and the Mirabito home. I spent so much time there over my years and remember every minute. She was my Mom away from home and I think a Mom to all of her children's friends. Their basement was our weekend getaway all through our school years. We danced and sang to all the songs and there was always soda and chips waiting for us. Our friendship continued through my adult years and I loved going and playing Rummikub with her whenever I had the chance. She was a wonderful woman who together with Soddy raised a wonderful family whom I am proud to call friends. May your many memories help sustain you all through this difficult time but know that your Mom is now with your Dad and they are watching over you all.
Love, Deb Puffer
