Obituary of Richard H. King
Richard H. King "Dick" of Bainbridge passed away suddenly at the age of 74.
Richard was born on March 5, 1946 to Charles and Margaret King. Upon graduating from Afton Central School, Richard served his country in the United States Navy. There Richard acquired the skills to become a machinist which Richard perfected those skills as a dedicated longtime Amphenol employee.
On July 20, 1987 Richard married Grace Mary Lehmer, they raised 4 children and were married 33 years prior to her passing in 2019.
Dick was a smart man, constantly researching things and places of interest. Dick had a couple hobbies that really defined him; His guns, shooting, his Harley Davidson and riding motorcycle. Dick took pride in his hobbies he did competition shooting with friends and family. He happened to be quite the marksman too. Dick was a member of the Rockdale Rod and Gun Club and the Del-Chenango Gun Club.
Dick rode motorcycle for many years. He was also a member of the Sidney American Legion Post 183, Legion Riders and the Bainbridge Veterans.
Dick was an all round good man and a dear friend. He loved to tease people and get someone to taste his hot sauces; he always got a kick out of setting their mouth on fire.
His dedication to his family and friends will be missed
Richard is survived by 4 children, several grandchildren and cousins.
Graveside services with military honors will be Saturday August 29, 2020 at 11:00am in West Bainbridge Cemetery.
