Obituary of Frank A. Monaco

Frank Monaco of Otego, NY went to be with the Lord at Wilson Hospital, Johnson City, NY on Saturday, August 15th, 2020. He was 77. Frank was born in Newburgh, NY to the late Joseph J. and Florence F. Monaco. He was one of eight children. Frank served in the Army for 4 years and went on to obtain an associate degree. He was self-employed as a paint contractor but had many talents in construction and design. He could always envision the finished work and put an artistic flair on everything he worked on. In his younger years, Frank was a drummer in a band with his older brother, Chip. Later he served at Higher Ground Christian Church in Afton, NY as a drummer on the worship team. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Margaret; a sister, Barbara Colurciello (Andrew), of Holly Springs, NC, and a son, Frank. He is predeceased by four brothers, Gesidio (Chip), Joseph, Nicholas, Anthony, and two sisters, Florence and Regina. Frank loved his church family at Higher Ground Christian Church and one special friend and business partner, Mary Garafalo. A celebration of life will be held at Higher Ground Christian Church in Afton, NY at a future date.
