Obituary of Jane A. Edwards

Jane Ann Jermyn May Edwards, age 97, of Afton, NY, passed away on July 7, 2020. Jane was born in Scranton, PA on September 9, 1922 to John (Jack) and Nellie (Morris) Jermyn. Jane is survived by her beloved children, Jayne Meyers, Delanco, NJ, Linda Seymour, Sidney, NY, and David Edwards, Macungie, PA. She has 6 loving grandchildren, Laura (Wallace) Mertens, Jeffrey (Christine) Seymour, Kimberly Hoffmann, Julie Hoffmann, Matthew (Dana) Seymour and Skylar Edwards, as well as many loving great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She is also survived by her brother-in-law, John Carling, sister-in-law, Patricia Jermyn, and her dear friend, Arlene Voorhis. Jane was sadly predeceased by her 3 siblings, John (Jacky) Jermyn, Robert (Bob) Jermyn and Alice Carling, and her son-in-law, Gary Seymour. Jane loved playing any and all card games when she could talk people into playing with her, and right up until the end, she could beat all of us with a sassy smile on her face! She loved visiting with her many friends, shopping, eating out, going to the Casinos, crocheting, etc. but most of all, her life revolved around her love for her family. She especially looked forward to the Jermyn Family Reunion every Memorial Weekend and her biggest disappointment was that the 42nd Reunion had to be cancelled this past May. Her entire family will especially miss her sense of humor! Over the many years of her life, Jane touched a multitude of hearts: family, friends, neighbors, and everyone else she encountered. "A Life Well Lived, Mom" The family will have a graveside service at the Afton Glenwood Cemetery at a later date.
