I have great memories of "Roomie" from a long time ago. He and I, and Dave Parsons were inducted into the on November 20, 1956. We spent time together at Fort Dix and later at Fort Benning in the winter 1956. While at Fort Benning, on liberty, We went into Columbus, Georgia, all got Tatooed.. I think Dave & 'Roomie" had fierce BLACK PANTHERS on their arms. It was a time of comradeship and testing the limits.
Rest in peace, my friend

To the entire Butcher Family-There are no words to express your feelings right now on the loss of your father. We were so saddened to hear the news, and know we can not come and grieve, give hugs and support you all during this difficult times. We can however, share great stories, and memories of the House on Main Street as neighbors, first with your grandparents, your parents, and becoming forever friends with all of you. Croquet on the lawn and the rainy day garden shed. Thanks for letting us be a part of your family for a while. We had the best neighbors for so many year together. Sharing our love with you all. Paul and Caroline DiNoto-Laing
