Obituary of Mildred Borst
Mildred D. Borst of Unadilla, also known as "Millie" to her family and friends, passed away peacefully in her sleep on April 6, 2020. Millie was born to Bernard A. Manderville and Margaret E. (Horvath) Manderville in Scranton, P.A.
Millie married the love of her life, Stanley F. Borst, on June 29, 1952. Millie and Stanley had a daughter Melanie R. Borst, whom they loved very much. Millie was a loving wife, doting mother and a hard worker that held jobs at Keith Clarks Calendar Factory in Sidney, N.Y. Then later as an Inspector at Bendix Corporation in Sidney, N.Y. where she retired from.
Millie loved her animals; she was very fond of her many cats over the years and her dogs, Blacky and Lilly. Millie and Stanley loved having and attending gatherings with family to visit. She enjoyed watching fireworks, going strawberry picking, trips to Frog Pond and trips to Turning Stone with her brother Bob and sister Eleanor. She loved having a vegetable garden, planting all different types of flowers and pulling weeds around her home. She liked being outside working around the house.
Millie is survived by her daughter, Melanie R. Borst; sister, Eleanor M Snow; sister-in-law, Evelyn Manderville; cousin, Marian "Polly" Hine Johnson; and many nieces and nephews.
Millie was predeceased by her mother, Margaret (1942); father, Bernard (1962); husband, Stanley (2004); her brother, Baby Leo (1934); sister, Dolores J. Nabinger (1989); sister, Shirley E. Hinkley (2009); brother, Arnold R. "Bob" Manderville (2016); and brother, James B. Manderville (2018), along with sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, cousins and some nieces and nephews.

A small memorial is being planned for July 4th at the Greenlawn Cemetery, followed by a celebration of life with feasting, fireworks and bonfire at Tina and Daryl Townsends home in Coventryville, N.Y. time to be determined.
