Obituary of Breeanna A. Ortiz

Breeanna A. Ortiz Afton, NY Breeanna A. Ortiz, 27, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 1, 2020 at Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown. She was born on June 24, 1992 in Roseville, CA, beloved daughter of Tricia Kershner and Byron Ortiz. Bree was a doting mother with an irreplaceable love for her daughter, Erianna; and a loving and loyal daughter, niece and friend. She adored her pets: El Chapo, Pebbles, Lexi and Diesel. Her smile could brighten a room; her love for life was infectious and contagious. She always had a desire for adventure. Bree loved to make people smile, and a personality that truly made people love her. Her life mattered and her spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Bree is survived by: her cherished daughter, Erianna Nelson; mother, Tricia Kershner; father, Byron Ortiz; stepdad, Phil Geary; aunt and uncle, Tracy and Albert Ortiz; aunt, Kari Thomas; brothers, Brandon Ortiz and Aden Ortiz; fiancé, Eric Nelson; grandparents: Laurie Read and Ron Pitt, Albert Ortiz, Sr. and Sharon Ortiz, all of her aunts, uncles and extended family in California, as well as many friends. She was predeceased by her grandfather, Rocky Kershner and great-grandfather, Virgil Clapper. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, March 5, 2020 from 4:00-6:00pm at C.H.
