Obituary of Dorothea H. DeYoung
Dorothea Hall DeYoung passed away peacefully at the age of 94 in her home on Monday February 17th, 2020.
She was born on February 27th, 1925 in Bangor Maine, daughter to the late Clinton A. and Rena (Plummer) Hall.
Dorothea was predeceased by her first husband Arthur Archambault, second husband Richard DeYoung, and son Arthur Archambault Jr.
She is survived by her other son Mark Archambault, grandchildren Jessica Archambault Hinkley, Lori Archambault and husband Joseph Bonacci, Eric Archambault and his wife Rachel, great-grandchildren Lilly Hinkley and Parker Hinkley.
Dorothea was a remarkable and wonderful woman who brightened everyone's day. She loved writing poetry and loved reminiscing about her childhood in Maine. For many years, she was a member of the Sidney Moose and was also faithful to Sidney Bible Baptist Church. Dorothea always had a smile on her face, had a great sense of humor and welcomed everyone into her heart.
Friends and family are invited to call on Saturday February 22nd from 11:00am-1:00pm followed by funeral services at 1:00pm at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, 21 Main St. Sidney, NY 13838. Pastor Frank Donnelly of the Sidney Bible Baptist Church will officiate.
Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery in the spring.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Sidney Bible Baptist Church at 32 W Main St. Sidney, NY 13838.
