With your passing, you’ve left a hole in our hearts that can only be filled with the cherished memories of our lives we spent with you.
For Barb, it’s a lifetime of memories which she dearly holds onto that will never leave. All the trips you shared whether by bus, car, walking on the road or just walking down memory lane talking of the days gone by. So many years of special events like Christmases, birthdays, anniversaries, family gatherings along with the simple things you both shared in life bring a flood of memories to ease her grief.
For me, this March 7th marks the date I first asked Barb out 45 years ago. That was the beginning of my joy in entering your beautiful family. You’ve always told me I was far more a son than a son in-law and I felt the same for you as a Mother than a Mother in-law. Everyone in your family never felt like an in-law to me, but as if I had more brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. So much has happened during those 45 years that it’s hard to summarize, but I feel the best tribute I can offer is to say you’ve enriched my soul and I believe I’ll hold that the dearest every day.
We know you’re in the Lords warm embrace, enjoying songs you loved sung by a choir of Angles and visiting with family and friends who past before you. We can see you walking down the road with them, driving your car, sitting on your recliner with your dogs, talking to everyone you meet and smiling as you always did with a newly enriched and deserved joy. Watch over and protect us all here on Earth and we look forward to the day we join you and all our loved ones who passed in that big family reunion in the sky.
Love always,
Barb and Steve

I believe everyone who knew Aunt Dorothy has fond memories of her. We were all blessed to have her to love. She sure was a happy person that loved to share her joy, loved to take care of people, and was always interested in how your life was going. The great care her family gave to her is a wonderful tribute to the person she was. Many condolences to everyone.

I am sad to learn of Dorothy's passing. My mother, Barbara Curtis Walker, always spoke fondly of her and counted her as a friend. My sympathies to her family.

Some of my most cherished memories revolve around our summers in Sidney; running to show Grandma what we caught in the creek, braiding our hair and painting our nails, picking flowers and berries, lessons in the kitchen... Grandma loved a full house and afternoons filled with good conversation, especially when reminiscing on old times. It always made me smile when she called the little ones, "Ducky." Like so many others, she had a sweet tooth and loved her coffee. As the years went on, I feel that one of the biggest ways her love was evidenced was in her daughters and how they cared for her so selflessly, and without hesitation. She was clearly an incredible mother, and I knew her to be a warmhearted and loving grandmother.
She will remain a shining example of faith, love, and grace and will always be in our hearts.

Dorothy worked for my mother and father way back in the 50's when she was a young girl. She did housework and looked after my sister and I. I remember her as being very pleasant, always with a smile on her face. She was a treasure, that's why I remember her so well. You have my deepest sympathy.

The love Grandma had for everything and everyone around her is something that I will always admire her for; along with her ability to always have a smile on her face. I will also hold dear the memories of spending the summers at Grandmas, playing and laughing with her. She created nothing but love, joy and happy memories. She will be missed greatly, but remembered for all the love she spread.
