Obituary of Michele L. Thrower

Michele Lyn Thrower Sidney—Michele Lyn Thrower, 51, passed away on Thursday, December 19, 2019 at Wilson Medical Center in Johnson City. Michele was born on June 30, 1968 to Larry and Kay (Gardner) Thrower in Sidney. She graduated from Sidney High School with the Class of 1986. She later attended Fortis Institute in Ft. Lauderdale for hotel management. She worked for many years as a waitress and bartender in New York and Florida. Her son, Josh, was the light of her life; she loved him so much. Michele was always one to have fun and food-she loved food. She was the best cook; for a short time, she had her own catering business, "Catering with Pizzazz". Thoughtful and kind, Michele always put others first. Her passing leaves a huge hole in all our hearts. Michele will be missed by: her son, Josh; her mother, Kay; sisters, Diana of Sidney and Cheri Thill and her husband, Joe, of Morrison, CO; uncle, Wade Thrower of Louisiana; aunt, Billye Jowers of Louisiana; several cousins; boyfriend, Steve Cox, and many friends. She was predeceased by her father, Larry; her grandma and grandpa Thrower; her grandma and grandpa Gardner and uncles, Richard Gardner and Thomas Thrower. A celebration of Michele's life will be held from 12:00noon to 5:00pm on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at the Sidney American Legion Post 183, 22 Union St. Sidney, NY 13838. If you wish, bring a dish to pass. The family also encourages everyone to bring any pictures of Michele to display. Arrangements are under the direction of C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, Sidney.
